Description

The TBB PG4.0S is a powerful all-in-one energy system designed for motorhomes, caravans, boats, specialist vehicles and other mobile power applications.

It combines a 4000W pure sine wave inverter, high-capacity AC battery charger, MPPT solar charge controller and bidirectional DC-DC charger within one compact unit. This integrated design reduces installation space, wiring complexity and the number of separate components required.

With 8000W of short-duration peak power, the PG4.0S can handle demanding appliances and inductive loads such as air conditioners, compressors, microwaves, coffee machines and power tools.

Key Features

  • 4000W continuous pure sine wave output

  • 8000W peak output for two seconds

  • Designed for 48V lithium battery systems

  • Integrated 75A AC battery charger

  • Integrated 30A MPPT solar charge controller

  • Supports up to 1800W of solar panels

  • Integrated bidirectional DC-DC charger

  • Suitable for 12V and 24V vehicle alternator systems

  • Euro 6 smart-alternator compatible

  • Power Assist and Power Control functionality

  • Fast 2ms transfer between AC and inverter power

  • Built-in insulation monitoring for improved electrical safety

  • High efficiency of up to 96.5%

  • Compact, lightweight all-in-one construction

Four Essential Functions in One Unit

Inverter

Produces clean 230V pure sine wave power from a 48V auxiliary battery bank, making it suitable for sensitive electronics as well as demanding household appliances.

AC Battery Charger

Automatically recharges the auxiliary battery when shore power or a generator is connected, with charging current of up to 75A.

MPPT Solar Charger

Connect up to 1800W of solar panels directly to the PG4.0S. The integrated MPPT controller efficiently converts available solar energy into battery charging power.

Bidirectional DC-DC Charger

Charges the 48V auxiliary battery from the vehicle alternator while driving. When the engine is switched off, stored energy can also be used to help maintain the starter battery.

Built for Safe Mobile Power

The PG4.0S includes an insulation-monitoring system designed to detect electrical leakage and shut down the inverter when required. A 32A/30mA RCD safety device and fast transfer function further support a safe and dependable mobile-power installation.

Recommended Applications

  • Motorhomes and campervans

  • Caravans

  • Boats and marine applications

  • Service and utility vehicles

  • Mobile workshops

  • Emergency and specialist vehicles

  • Mobile catering vehicles

Installation Note

The PG4.0S is intended for indoor installation in a dry, suitably ventilated location. Battery compatibility, solar configuration, alternator connection, cable sizing and electrical protection must be confirmed before installation. Installation should be completed by a suitably qualified professional.
