The TBB M48-105 is a high-performance 48V lithium battery designed for motorhomes, boats, specialist vehicles and demanding mobile-power systems.

Providing 5.04kWh of energy storage in a compact reinforced enclosure, the M48-105 is an ideal battery partner for the TBB PG4.0S all-in-one inverter charger. Its high discharge capability provides the power needed to operate air conditioners, kitchen appliances, compressors, power tools and other demanding equipment.

Safe and Long-Lasting LiFePO4 Technology

The M48-105 uses lithium iron phosphate battery cells, selected for their excellent thermal stability, long cycle life and dependable performance.

An intelligent battery-management system continuously monitors the battery and provides protection against:

• Overcharging and over-discharging

• Excessive charging and discharging current

• High and low temperatures

• Short circuits

• Individual cell-voltage imbalance

The BMS also calculates the battery’s state of charge, records cycle use and balances the individual cells to support consistent long-term performance.

Expandable Energy Storage

Start with one 5.04kWh battery and expand the system as your energy requirements grow.

Up to eight matching M48-105 batteries can be connected in parallel, providing a maximum combined storage capacity of:

• 1 battery: 5.04kWh

• 2 batteries: 10.08kWh

• 4 batteries: 20.16kWh

• 8 batteries: 40.32kWh

Parallel batteries must be the same model and should have matching age, usage history, capacity and state of charge.

Designed for the TBB PG4.0S

The M48-105 is an excellent match for the TBB PG4.0S 4000W all-in-one inverter charger.

Communication between the battery and TBB power system allows charging, discharging and protection functions to work together intelligently. This improves system safety while providing more accurate battery state-of-charge information.

Cold-Weather Performance

The built-in heating system helps protect the battery during cold-weather operation. When charging power is available, the battery can automatically warm its cells before allowing charging at low temperatures.

This makes the M48-105 well suited to mobile applications that may operate in colder parts of New Zealand.

Installation Note

The M48-105 is designed exclusively for 48V systems. Batteries may be connected in parallel but must never be connected in series.

Installation must be completed in a dry, well-ventilated location using correctly sized cables, suitable over-current protection and compatible charging equipment. Installation should be undertaken by a suitably qualified professional.
