Gift of Freedom Program Terms and Conditions

Eligibility

The Gift of Freedom Program is open to legal residents of New Zealand who are at least 18+ at the time of application. Employees of GridFree and other companies associated with the administration of the Program, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and advertising and promotion agencies, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. The Program is subject to national laws and regulations.

Sponsor

The Gift of Freedom Program is sponsored by GridFree Ltd, located at Unit C4, 27 Smales Road, East Tamaki, Auckland, New Zealand.

Agreement to Terms

Participation in the Gift of Freedom Program constitutes applicants’ full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Selection for support is contingent upon being compliant with these Terms and fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

Program Period

Applications for the Gift of Freedom Program are accepted year-round. There is no closing date. GridFree will review applications and select recipients at its sole discretion, on an ongoing basis.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted using the official online form provided on the GridFree website. Incomplete or inaccurate applications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of GridFree. You may not apply more than once per person using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. Fraudulent or dishonest methods will result in disqualification.

All applications become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

Selection Process

GridFree will review eligible applications on an ongoing basis and select recipients based on suitability, need, and alignment with the objectives of the Gift of Freedom Program. The number of recipients chosen will vary depending on available resources and circumstances. The Sponsor’s decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection process.

Recipient Notification

Selected applicants will be contacted directly by GridFree via email or phone. If a selected applicant cannot be contacted within a reasonable timeframe or is found to be ineligible, GridFree may select an alternate applicant.

Support Package

Recipients will not receive a predetermined product or kit. Instead, GridFree will provide a tailored solar package suited to the recipient’s living situation and energy needs. The specific components, size, and design of each package will be determined by GridFree at its sole discretion.

No part of the package is exchangeable for cash or transferable. Support is provided “as is” with relevant product warranties. Recipients are responsible for ongoing maintenance, insurance, and any costs not explicitly covered by GridFree.

Promotional Activity

By applying, recipients agree to participate in promotional activity and publicity material as GridFree may require. This may include, but is not limited to, interviews, photography, videography of the installation and follow-up visits, and media coverage.

Rights Granted by You

By applying, you grant GridFree and its affiliates the right to use your application details, name, likeness, image, video, statements, and biographical information for promotional, advertising, and publicity purposes in any media worldwide, without further compensation, where permitted by law.

General Conditions

GridFree reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the Gift of Freedom Program and these Terms at any time. The Sponsor reserves the right to verify the identity of any applicant and to disqualify any application where false, misleading, or fraudulent details are given, or where applicants behave dishonestly or contrary to these Terms.

Release and Limitations of Liability

By applying, applicants agree to release and hold harmless GridFree, its employees, affiliates, and partners from any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Program, the receipt or use of any package, or any associated activities.

Disputes

This Program is governed by the laws of New Zealand. Except where prohibited, applicants agree that any disputes shall be resolved exclusively by the appropriate court located in New Zealand.

Privacy

Information collected from applicants is subject to the Sponsor’s privacy policy.

Association

This Program is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google, or any other third-party platforms.
