What can this kit run in a day?
With 1320W of panels and a 3000W inverter, this solar package is capable of running a lot of appliances. In the peak of summer most places of New Zealand get between 6-8 sunlight hours, which equates to around 9,380Wh of generated power. In winter you get less sunlight hours normally between 3-4. Below we have calculated roughly how much you can run if you generate 4,020Wh, which is just over 3 sunlight hours. This list is a quick guide to the types of things you might run in a day, but can easily be swapped out to suit your needs, provided you stay within the daily Watt hour estimations.

Hybrid Inverter or Standalone Inverter?
Hybrid
The hybrid inverter is an all in one unit. It combines a solar MPPT charge controller, an inverter and a battery charger all in one unit.

- An electrician is required for installation of the hybrid unit
- The installation cost is greater
- Allows Grid or generator input
- The 3kW hybrid requires at least a 3.5kVA Generator
Standalone
The standalone inverter is an inverter that does not have a built-in charger. It does have a standard house wall outlet socket.
- Can be installed completely DIY
- Less expensive
- Installation is simpler
- You will need a separate battery charger to charge batteries from a generator

All Hardware Included
This kit is a complete solar package that comes with everything you need to get up and running - including all the cables, crimp connections, circuit breakers, and mounting hardware. We also offer the tools required if you wish to make any changes or alterations to the base kit, and a number of related accessories. We also offer an upgrade to have everything pre-installed in a lockable cabinet!
This kit comes with a choice between a 4 panel ground mount and a 4 panel roof mount. We use the highest quality Chiko equipment for our mount kits.
Depending on your setup you may need to buy conduit to run the wire through, which is not included in the kit, as this will vary for every install.

Equipment We Trust
We supply our kits with EPEVER charge controllers and inverters, which can be connected to a WiFi or bluetooth module for more detailed configuration and monitoring. The inverter comes with a universal wall outlet, so it doesn't have to be wired into a switch board.
Trina Perc Mono solar panels are our panel of choice. They use the latest technology to ensure their panels are as efficient as possible, meaning they produce 330W+ from a size where most panels only produce 270W at the best of times.
All our kits come with our 200Ah 12V battery, specifically designed for solar usage - no trickle charging needed. We are so confident in this battery we offer our warranty based on a 50% Depth of Discharge (DoD), while most companies only warranty a 20% DoD.
