Solar pumping is veritable but most commonly used to move water from a lower down reservoir to a higher up tank (header tank) during the day. This tank then gravity feeds around the clock, removing the requirements for batteries. 

Automatic shut off can be created in this system with the included pressure switch. Dry run protection is set up by default with internal power/rpm monitoring but can also be set up with a float switch.

This system is designed primarily to replace a petrol pump - saving money spent on fuel over the long run but primarily saving the time that would normally be spent on doing the refueling rounds.

This system is also designed as to allow you to get pumping out in your back gully where running mains power would be far to expensive to make it worth while.
