"I am Rick and together with my wife Hanlie, our five dogs and our cat, live on a lifestyle block in Central Hawke's Bay. We live on the property and being rural it is important for us to be as self-sufficient as possible. As a hands-on person, I liked the DIY concept and affordability of the GridFree System.
I installed our Freedom Kit at the beginning of November 2022 with the guidance of the GridFree Installation manual. I had help from our local resident electrician to connect my GROWATT Hybrid Inverter to the Grid.
We run our whole household off a Freedom Kit with the GROWATT Hybrid Inverter that is connected to the Grid for backup. Currently, at various times in a day, we run a Fridge/Freezer, Chest Freezer, Heat pump, Top-loader Washing Machine(two times per week), Iron, Stove Top, Oven, Microwave, Water Pump and Motor, Nespresso Coffee Machine, Router, two Laptops and even boil the odd Billy for a cup of tea.
We are super impressed with the performance of our Freedom Kit. One of our future plans is to upgrade a second dwelling on the property that we rent out as holiday accommodation to a GridFree fully off-grid unit."
