"I had my Freedom Kit installed 10 Oct and it is running beautifully with no issues at all. We've had a couple of times where there were 2-3 days in a row of rain and cloud and I had no issues at all so I didn't need the generator at all, so I was very impressed with that. I have a 190l fridge/freezer, a 190l freezer 24/7, have a 55" smart tv 8-10 hrs/day, air fryer, washing machine 2x weekly, also a Dyson vacuum on charge all the time, have an electric waterblaster and charge batteries for various tools. I do all of this and have had no problems at all, so I'm very happy with my kit so cheers for that.
I must also give a big shoutout to ICE Systems Opotiki for the work they did installing the kit. I cannot praise them enough on the work they did and their willingness to adapt to the circumstances that occurred.
Firstly because it was the first time they had installed a GridFree Kit they were unsure of what was needed for the ground mount, luckily I had some piles for another job, so they used those, yes they put the piles in and mounted the panels, than because this took so long they had to come back a couple of days later to finish the job which is an hour each way from Opotiki. Also I had to put together a 3x3 shed to house everything, I built the floor but the shed needed at least 2 people and because it is only myself and I also have an injury I couldn't do it. So I contacted Marcel at ICE and he said they could do it, so they came back a couple of days later finished the shed and completed the installation, as I said can't praise them enough.
I must also say that I couldn't find anyone else that was willing to install my kit because they hadn't supplied it, when I first called ICE Systems they were a bit reluctant but said if I was stuck with no one they would look at it, which thankfully they did."
Some electricians are hesitant to install GridFree kits when they're unfamiliar with them, which is why we continue to partner with electricians around the country so our customers can find someone to install their kit. We're also happy to take calls from other electricians to explain anything they need.
